The following is a record of a unique build process that has been going on in Oregon the last few years. The Nieuport 11 was a WW1 Bi Plane that was highly favoured for it's manouverability. It was copied by the Germans and improved upon. In fact they looked so alike that the Allies painted their cowls a different colour to avoid shooting their own planes down.
This build is of 13 planes ( all N11"s ) to form a squadron )
The construction is primarily of Aluminum Tube and pop riveted gussets. Fabric covered. VW engine.
