Well, the testimony given by some presently is that they were "following the rules" as they knew hem, and were booted anyway.
Makes it hard to know what to do, if a person can be swept up for just standing too close to the suspects, usuall, or otherwise.
That, has seemed to me to be the "real" gripe. Not that any objected to a "time out" per se; it was suspensions turning into explusions without explanastion, without "cause" as it were.
But, that's just my impression of things, too.
In the above case I was trying to suggest that the whole thing, both the posting and the moderating were following the rules and ideals of what a public forum should be (In the Cookstalk Case).
Fair Moderating after the fact, notification and explanation. You ban only after they piss you off so much you can't stand it. You know, I'm talking real #%!&*^$ 'n mad. Because they are so thick headed and stubborn they (the poster) fail to eat a little crow in order to stay on and be viable. You (the moderator) have to do something because all else failed.
or something to that effect.
