Sue and I along with 6 other family members made our first trip to Europe in 09. For my BIL it was his first trip back to France after immigrating to Australia 40 years ago. For my wife, my sister and I it was chasing family roots and meeting relatives.
Seeing some of Doug Hubbards shots of his Paris trip from last year posted on BTClassic, prompts me to do similar here. Trust it's not too boring.

At Nimes we visited the Pont du Garde, an aquaduct built around the time of Christ. Incredible given the tools available ( no mortar was used in it's construction)

When we talked we both agreed one of the most striking observation about Europe were the condition of the hundreds (thousands) of years old steps. Takes alot of traffic to dish out granite. The stories that they must hold is overwhelming.

Not in the least!
A few years ago my wife and I went to England for about 2 weeks. It was amazing (and humbling) to see buildings that are older the our country.
One of the my most favorite vacations ever. Hope to repeat it some day.
