You may not have seen this "Drip Eze" brand of Brown plastic Drip Hose in your country. It is made by "Toro" in South Australia and may not be available as yet in your hardware stores. The drip jets are designed to be "Pressure Compensating". That is to say those jets nearest the Town Water supply Tap or Faucet do not release water at a faster rate than the jets at the distant end of the drip hose. The distance between the jets is about twelve inches. this works out OK for planting most annuals and vegetables. Each jet has a hole either side of the hose and they are self cleaning and don't tend to block up. Standard agricultural poly pipe fittings ie 13mm Tees and 13mm elbows clips etc are used to link sections of hose together. They use less water than spray jets and don't wet the foliage so fungus attack is reduced. The results are spectacular. The garden grows without much attention at all. Because no water is laying around on the surface of the ground weed seed germination is discouraged resulting in less work pulling out weeds.Take a look at the four photos below.

As the dull grey of winter takes over the fall colors it's good to see some summer hues again. Thanks.
