Welcome, Bluegillman, glad to have you visit and post.
If most here are like me, just really busy at this time of the year, and doesn't leave a lot of time and energy for posting.
However I have noticed that if someone needs help with a question about anything, someone will come along and try to help.
The posting activity seems to come and go, but I'll bet that a lot of regulars check here everyday, I know I check in most days.

I took some kids fishing this weekend and we tore up your namesake. The kids were hopping around and yelling like mad. Had hooks flying all over!

Hi Calvin, my real name is Max and I live in the ever sprawling suburbs about 40 miles south west of Sydney Australia. Being 68 I have retired from a working life of installing and maintaining telephone equipment. In mt youth I was employed installing the old wooden Stromberg Carlson magneto wall phones in houses all through the bush. I've since worked in telephone exchanges installing various kinds of switching equipment and also installed and maintaining household and office telecommunication equipment. I even did a stint erecting Radio towers in remote locations in the bush to bring dial tone to remote farms and mining communities etc. Its been an interesting life and I count myself lucky for the friendships made with all those decent hard working folk I have met. My interest now is mainly gardening, Roses, 57 or so of every variety and colour imaginable and I have a prolific vegitable patch in the back yard and of course I have the joys of occasionally behaving like a rather foolish doting grandfather to five wonderful Grandchildren.
P.S Is it possible to attach photoes to this site?
