Dino (EZ) has been in the Santa Claus mood. He's donated another 100'' guide for auction. The SGS-100'' EZ Smart Guide. You can view it HERE This one will be a bit different. Proceeds from the sale will go to a Christmas Present Fund so we can give Dino (Dinosaur)'s son Ryan a Christmas present from: (to coin a phrase) His Carpenter Friends.
If I haven't confused you, here's something else. You can send a donation if you don't want to bid, or for that matter, if you get outbid. We'll include that in the fund and make Christmas a little merrier under Ryans tree.
Send your Donation to:
Quittin'time p.o. box 351 maumee, ohio 43537-0351
make a note on it that it's for Ryan.
Who'll open the bidding?

Well then it's $250,000. If you include a nice 3,000sf house. Preferably on the ocean, somewhere warm.

Bummer, if you had just registered sooner, that auction is already closed.
Came with a babe too.
Pity.

Alright, this ezsmart auction.........the babe came TO it.
Miz, you have the current high bid of 130.00 and we are pleased to have you in our company.
I would think you should be reappearing as yourself, we already have too many anon's bidding. Makes it hard on the auctioneer.
Here we go folks, 130 on the guide, certainly not enough for it or the cause.
Who'll gimme 140?

Clara,
I just now got your email, reference this problem as well.
This seems to be a problem with cookies.
You'll need to make sure that you have totally enabled cookies for this site.
DougU was having the same problem, but the next time he came back, he was just fine.
I'm guessing maybe the anonymous cookie didn't get deleted/changed, when you registered then logged in. I know my browser will sometimes not allow changes in cookies.
Log out, close the browser, reopen the browser, log back in, and see what happens. Let me know if the problem persists.

P.S. Is it really appropriate to ask/tell DustinF to back off on this ?
While we like to see people get good bargains here, the object of this auction is not so much to provide a bargain to someone, as to fund a really good christmas present/s for Ryan...
While 150 dollars may fund a good present, I just thought I should post a reminder about the "spirit" of the auction.

Who's letting in all these anonomoosed people in here?? I thought we were trying to run a high-class joint, here?
Reminds me of a true story, happened many years ago in my rural area:
There was much strife at that time over allocation of water rights, and the conflict had come to a head with a local town meeting. The meeting was unruly from the beginning, with lots of shouting and pointing of fingers. Eventually, an older farmer in the back row stood up, and after finally getting the crowd's attention, said:
'OK, all of you here at this meeting know me, and have known me and my family for years. You know that I never talk about anybody behind their back. So now I come to this meeting, and everybody is saying that so-and-so made this allegation, and that so-and-so made these other allegations...... I don't like not knowing who really said what, so..... I wanta know........
WHOSE THE ALLIGATORS??!!
So....WHOSE THE ANOMOOSERS??!!

Jeff - I'll try your suggestion. Am curious if jumping here via link from a Calvin post in BT has anything to do with this...?

Well I thought that my post to Dustinf to "back off" was clearly in jest! - and I had "clicked" on one of those ICONS that's in the "post icon" section above this "post" box section - but I see now in looking back to my earlier post - that the icon I clicked on isn't there!
Don't worry Jeff - I'll probably give up on this site; I'm not smart enough - need a "new users primer!
Cal will recall that I tried to give a paypal donation months ago on it and that never went thru either... At least Calvin knows that if I had won this auction, my ck in the mail would have arrived, and been good!

Aha !
Ok, now you have me curious.
I am going to write an email and ask if that may have that sort of affect.
=0)
Thank you !

Alright, I don't know the problem and I will be saying now that the bid is 150. And Mz has the place.
If she don't want it, then she don't take it. But the auction is not over yet. We can continue.
If anyone outbids 150, then we have a new leader. Currently at 150 is Mzshredder2. In the rear is DustinF, if she can't figure out this site.
Now, we have reached the almost point in the auction. If you look at the last EZSmart auction, you'll see dino has made available a GOOD FRIEND price on the guide and also on the guide and the table kit.
We can still go beyond that good deal price if you wish.
I've got people coming over for dinner, I'll be back way later to see if you all can figure out what I just wrote.
carry on.
