Morning, Cal........Yeah, we had lightning and thunder last night.........We looked on Intellicast and saw a great big something heading our way!!
Son is planning a cookout today........Guess we'll be eating indoors!

Morning, Mulch........It was great.......We had 200 official entries(top 10 from each school).......75 other entries showed up from K-8..........
The one that impressed me most was a 5th grade student whose display was titled "Can 3 Paper Cups Hold an 80 Pound Girl".........She started out with 3 empty cups(they crushed).....She then put cardboard over the 3 cups(crushed).....She then filled the 3 cups with sand, put them in a triangular pattern, covered them with a piece of wood and, voila, they held.........Her display was an interactive one as she had me stand on the cups.......Now, I weigh more than 80 pounds and they held........
Another favorite one was a Kindergarten student with fresh flowers......His was titled "Do Fresh Flowers Last Longer in Sugar Water or Plant Food?".......His explanation and pictures were priceless.......He could also explain his display......
There were so many, and I am really happy that our students are getting better and better at scientific experiments........

'mornin'....never mind, too late here on the wet coast(not today, sunny beautiful, HOT)..great M-Day, got some trees, got some dirt,got some water,and viola! Greenery! Actually, we built a SHRUBBERY! (Pythonesque) and sittin' back with some wobbley-pops, Great Day!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers,Phil.
