Ya start your car and drive around till you hit something. Drive back and forth a few times to tenderize. Scoop it up with the shovel. If ya wanna bake it, you set it on top of the hot engine. For broil, ya set it underneath. To smoke it, set it on the exhaust.
[Note to PETA wankers: It's just a joke. Everyone knows the engine fluids would ruin the flavor if you tried to broil it.]

I thought road kill was only good if you cooked on a paver. That way, when you finish paving for the day, your "catch" is nice and done! Damn, now I'll have to go back to the books!

See, this is why we need cooks over here--to tell us the trade secrets. I was just bluffing on the engine-block cooker thing, though I stilll like creating a smoker from the exhaust.

there was a cook book out that told you how to cook on the engine
all i remember is wrapping it in aluminium foil and putting on the exhaust manifold.

All I knew was that I was joking! Actually, this would be a great place for grilling and picnic type recipes. Was it DuHamel who had the Butt Chicken? We need that over here!

Where ya from? If it's WV, then no, I didn't think you were joking. Anywhere else and yes, you were joking!
I assumed you were, actually, but still think that Beer Butt Chicken recipe and photo should go here.
