This weekend I helped cook for the Biggest Picnic (hopefully in Guiness Book) in the World. The beginning was calm enough.

Our area park, Side Cut, had to move grills to another location due to high water. We split activities setting up near another entrance and half expected a light turnout. Holy Schmolley, the line never got shorter. It looked like this everytime I looked up during the four hours I was at the grill.

Even got a wave outta them. A beautiful day with a breeze kept the folks in line in a pretty good mood.

I don't think I'll be in the mood for a burger or dog for a good while...............

Mark, it was sort of a reverse good cause activity, with the existing record somewhere around 1400 easily possible to beat.

Our Metroparks (countywide natural areas around the city) funded by the people around here and of course with state and federal grants, wanted to do something to thank the people on its 75th Anniversary. They came up with the idea of a picnic and area food producers donated all the eats. That there was a record to try for was an afterthought. It was very cool
