November of '08: Because the donations fizzled out we were forced to cut back to bare bones. No ISP, no software upgrades. We found a very reasonable Web Hosting company and the domain name fee is continually taken care of by a generous member.

Welcome to Quittin' Time. Thanks go out to all the people responsible for getting this site up and running. Now that we have this forum it is up to all of us to keep it going. In that regard I offer up the following explanation of the operating costs and a method for keeping this board online.
From the information I rec. from all participants:
Software upgrades 125 dollars / year Domain name 20 dollars / year
P.O. Box 48 dollars / year Check Printing 18 dollars / year
Costs for a year of operation not including the initial software cost but assuming upgrades to it in the next year should be:
900.00 to 1000.00/ year
77.00 to 83.00 month.
This is what it will cost to run this thing. And we should remember that a zero bank balance makes for a limited arsenal regarding any changes or growing. We should figure high and have some left over in my opinion in order to fund any specials that come up. Some of these figures are firm, while others will fluctuate. If Quittin' Time can take in $90.00 per month, all should be well re. operation and we might actually be able to improve on what we have here. To figure on any less would certainly put limits on this project.
