I have had these for a while. To me they act as a third hand. After glue up and pinning the casing to the jamb, I use the pliers to expand the clamp and apply it to the mitre, pinching the joint together. I finish nailing the casings to the jamb then either swing the clamp out of the way so I can pin the joint or just leave it on and come back later to pin it and finish nailing off the casing. Especially handy for that o.s. corner in crown, and anywhere else you can dream up for it to work.

Clamp to casing mitre, keeps it lined up while glue dries.

So here you go. I'm either going to purchase a set (10 clamps-$2.50 and the reversed pliers$15.00) or I'm going to succeed in talking my tool supplier into making a donation. The value of the set is 40 bucks. Let the bidding begin. I'll set the end date later. Thanks.
edit: Thanks to my friends at Electric Tool and Equipment They have a nice site (under remodel at this time) and are very helpful. Been doing business with these folks since I became what I am (ha) over 30 years ago. Back when a hand shake meant something. Over that time I have never been without a working tool. If they couldn't fix it on the spot, they gave me something to continue with. You don't find that everywhere...........anywhere!

Let's go boys, you use this and like it, you might as well put a mask on because you'll be a thief getting them for such a paltry amount.

Billy, this is a long distance auction and I'm in no hurry. Right now you are the high bidder. Might change tomorrow, might not. I'll let this run until midnight EST, sunday, March 2. I don't want anyone to miss an opportunity to latch onto this cool tool..........so check back to make sure you're still the top dog. And remember, auction dollars go to running this site so it's more than just a purchase.
thanks!

$49.99
It's a decimal not a period. It'll cost you 50 'snort.

And much thanks.

"I thought we agreed riff raff weren't going to be allowed in? "
That may have been the agreement, but it sure went by the wayside a long time ago. I've been here awhile (since 5/4/02).
