glue spreader

I made this little gem about 20 years ago, still works great. It really cuts down on the time and mess of edge glueing panels. The roller was turned down from a salvaged wringer washing machine roller. the glue tray was glued up from a section of PVC sewer pipe and end caps. To limit the amount of glue on the roller I made a thickness setter from a piece of formica. The pillow blocks are overkill, The 1/10 hp. gear motor purshased from a surplus joint for 10 bucks, for the real big jobs I have a pto adapter that fits on my kabota, this gadget really put an end to the sticky fingers in my shop.
