It hailed here in Sacramento yesterday, along with pouring rain, thunder, lightening, funnel clouds and one tornado that touched down 30 miles south of here. Last year on this day it was 101 - today 66. Strange days indeed...

Hi, Heck......I live in good ol' Cleveland, Ohio........We have had the coldest, wettest spring in a long time......I keep bringing in my hanging baskets......They are predicting a low of 30 tonight.....Right now, it's sunny and 55......This really sucks.....
What fascinates me is that is warmer on the lakefront than it is inland.....I know why, but it still fascinates me........

Actually Carole, I'm in sunny and dry New Mexico....
Our thunderstorm season has started,but so far has produced only lightning-caused fires,small ones so far. We're on pins and needles here and hoping for an end to the drought.
Send some of that moisture down here! :-)

Yes, it's me. (You can come out now - the coast is clear!) "W" is my middle initial - I was braindead when I registered here and typed it in wrong, and now I don't know how to change it. So maybe someone can tell me (it's not a choice in my profile) or maybe I'll just be my alter ego here.
Today is pick-the-cherries-quickly day. We had a freak storm blow through yesterday and now the cherries are starting to split their skins. The kids are great - 3 more weeks of school, and we are all ready for summer! We went camping last weekend, which was a windy experience. The puppy is doing great; he's already almost twice as big as he was when we got him in March.
I *might* have finally found the right contractor for my kitchen project; will know next week. Cross your fingers for me, OK? And thanks for making coffee here. I can never lurk when coffee is involved.
